The Story So Far – After being framed for the murder Of his fiancé Clair , Sling brakes out of prison with a thirst for revenge. With help from Clair’s sister Tara , he formulates a plan to kill the crime boss Jack Preston responsible for the murder and frame up. Tara goes to work at Jack’s club (The Blue Ruby) and is able to convince Mimi the clubs hostess to join in Sling’s plan to rob the weekend payroll and aid in Jack’s demise. Mimi fearing she is a disposable pawn in Jacks criminal empire agrees to help with the plan.
Sling meets up with the girls, guns planted throughout the Blue Ruby. Tara Sling and Mimi kill the gangsters and Jack. They take the clubs receipt’s and burn it to the ground to send a message to the criminal underground to never mess with them again. They drive off into the sunset never to be heard from again................
AIRPLAY:
Our airplay base continues to expand, both by the number of stations, their locations, and the number of songs being played. We've picked up more regional FM play on the east & west coast and the heartland. Japan continues to spin us and by far we're having our greatest sling fling with fans in Australia & New Zealand. Podcasts in Italy and the UK continue while just about everly slingle has been picked up "down under" including our latest Ben Elliot recording of "When I'm with you".
- "Apology" & "Showtime" both soundtrack selections on Russel Hammond's internet sitcom "Models & Me"
- "Saints & Sinners" is on the desk of Crucial Music for a possible TV documentary soundtrack
- "When I'm With You" in the hands of publishers and being pitched to artists we are not at liberty to mention (YET!).
BTW...the rumor is NOT true about a Sling Christmas Slingle, though "Slingle Bells" is always a possibility!!!

Now here's a little bit about Sling.
Andrew Brand – Vocals, Michael Jacovini-Drums & Production, Mick Overmere-Guitars, and Rich Pilger - Guitars & Pre-production.
As a writer, Andy…… has the innate ability to make the simplest or complex of messages come across equally profound. Originally from Long Island, he has been fine tuning his craft as a writer and performer in a mix of original bands throughout the NY metro area. He brings a unique signature to the music which helped separate the band’s sound and style from the rest of the local rock club scene.
Michael….. was fortunate enough to have the experience of expanding his club experience, playing up to 5,000 seat venues up & down the east coast, into Canada, and later across Europe. Concurrent to the tribute scene, he was consistently involved in some type of original music outlet. Most of this experience was shared with fellow Sling writer & guitarist Mick Overmere.
Mick …Besides a source of ever-flowing and spontaneous creativity, Mick’s greatest strength is playing to the required needs of a song…. Which is extremely important to have t put together. Whether the song is a rocker, folk, or pop; his melodies are always catchy, leads inspiring, and rhythms fluent. And now,
Rich….. is a Sling guest writer and guitarist who has also pitched in with pre-production and engineering on several of our songs including “Apology” and “When I’m With You”. Besides his work with Sling, Rich has worked on many solo projects and was the lead guitarist for the band Monroe from 1978-1998. As part of a guitar tandem, Rich is the perfect compliment to Mick’s bluesy rhythms and melodic leads. No doubt, when Mick zigs, Rich zags, as his leads and rhythms often cut into and through a song with an edge that is the signature to his style. His intro to our marquee song “Showtime” as well as his rhythm and lead work on “Minnesota Pretty” best exemplify much of Rich’s electrifying sound and style.
Since forming Sling LLC 2 years ago, they have written and produced over 2 dozen singles with still many songs holding at various stages of development. focus is to develop Sling as a music production/ song writing BRAND versus a BAND. After finishing up their own version of "Monster Mash", they went back into the Showplace with Ben & Ben to record an American Folk influenced slingle "When I'm With You". What a fun & sweet song to produce with guest performances from Len Mooney (accordion, synth flute, & piano) and Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth (Fiddle). This is the song you can take home to ANYONE....even MOMMA it's so stinkin sweet. But the lyrics, Noddy's vocals combined with Mick & Shy's guitar interplay make it undeniably Sling with a rock & roll soul at heart, llisten and you will hear exactly what I mean! They have also completed a Shy pre-production version of another Slingle "Heard on the Radio"...another sweet but upbeat song, it has a Latin feel with a Joan Baez ("Put up a Parking Lot") / Simon & Garfunkel ("Me & Julio") influence. They're now excited to spend this winter mapping out our next batch of recordings which will include a song they have in a preproduction titled "Destiny", a full production version of "Heard on the Radio", and a list of songs that include a bit of a dip back into to our original Rock/Blues/Jazz roots of "Sling" the mini opera.
Sling is a band influenced by the past & present, while creating a musical future with respect given to all those artists who paved the way for us.
