SLIP OF THE TONGUE was a project put together by Ainsley Wills and Bill Hornsby in mid 2007. Having worked together in local hard rock covers outfit Damage Control, Ainsley and Bill decided that they would like to concentrate on putting together a WHITESNAKE tribute, both being huge fans of the band for many years.
Bass player Craig Stephenson was quickly brought on board, Craig having also worked with DC before Ainsley and Ian resigned from the band due to musical differences. Another guitarist would be needed to complete with twin lead sound of WHITESNAKE so Rich was approached. Ainsley and Rich had been in contact together through the Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake) board and through Big Ginger Gits Gig Pit and met up at the Whitesnake aftershow meet. Ainsley had also seen Rich playing with local band ROCKERFELLA and knew he was THE right guitarist for the group.
Drummer Brick was recruted around the same time, having met Bill at a gig and saying he'd soon be available for work he was snapped up. Brick had worked together with Ainsley in the early 80's in an original band named DARK HEART and then again in the late 90's in MR PRESIDENT.
This line up rehearsed for a few months and the band and personalities really worked well but one thing was missing ...... keyboards and no matter how hard we searched we couldn't find anyone. Then after deciding to make a decision whether to go out as a five or six piece we found Jon. A great keyboard player, musician and top bloke and currently playing with local band SKAMANIA ......... Jon finally completed the line up we'd wished for.
So now it's 2008 and we are still in rehearsals but hope to be out on the local circuit by March/April and further afield by June/July.

Yoooohooooo, I'm booked in at the start of September, the 4th I think, keep meaning to ring Chris and check me memories shite! Getting me arm finished finally ha ha, cherry blossoms and geisha coloured. Hopefully me loan will come through after that and I can get more!! BUt gunna be skint! Me n Simon's off to Blackpool this weekend for Rebellion fest, can't wait but its guna clear me bank account! x

Nah, geisha's still undone, only about an hours session left tho, just a nightmare trying to squeeze in Bez's busy schedule.
Never knew Simon had such a talented guitarist in the family mind, Satriani stylings!! Will have to give us some lessons cos we in process of tryin to start a band haha.
