   About The Milvers
We are The Milvers...what of it? We are now a four piece, who have been playing together for about a year and a half or so. We began simply playing covers of bands such as The Strokes and Libertines but as time passed, we developed our own original sound playing our own songs. Due to a simple twist of fate, we were invited to play with the Mystery Jets at their Christmas party on Eel Pie Island. We only had a short slot, but were very grateful in getting some experience. We've played some charity gigs at our school, but we hope to be gigging in the summer. We have a variety of influences from The Kinks to the legends that are Bob Dylan and Neil Young as well as Cockney rockers Chas 'n' Dave. Not to forget British Sea Power influences too. I dunno how we would be labelled but I've given it a crack as you can see, let us know if you think differently. We have finally been bothered to start recording so take a listen to our tracks, or don't....whatever. We now have a bassit in the form of Jason Sayeed. It's funny really. He was just sitting in front of our eyes for so long. Well now it's all clear. Stay on side...

greetings happy chappies...you know I'd be there tonight if I could, but I'm tied to a leaving party for someone at work (she is actually someone i know, rather than someone i pretend to know!)....I do feel a bit empty inside for not coming. Mind you, there's a loyal trooper gig tonight too....so at least the leaving party allows me to dodge deciding between you all...there could be tears. I'm off to latitude this weekend, so collectively pray for some sunshine...i dont do mud. steve

Only a month to go before we play on the same stage together, again. What song will we all know when the Milvers and Melancholiacs perform?
