I thought I should add this. I don't get on MY Space very much now because of constant nausea resulting from my military injuries. But I do read my e-mails fairly often, so if something important comes up please write me. I have prevented youth as young as 12 from committing suicide [I also was going to as a kid and later as an adult because I couldn't accept my gay feelings]. NOTE: Too many of my youth have been hurt by religion and those trying to convert my gay kids to become straight or religious. God loves us all and if you cannot accept this LEAVE my youth alone please. They have had enough heartache from well-meaning people. Fly Fishing, the out of doors, youth work, church. I would like to become a "dream restorer" so that every youth or adult who had a thousand dreams and then saw them tragically lost or destroyed could once again know that it's OK to dream again. Why do people cut themselves? Why do girls become anerexic and belimec?
Why do kids bring guns to school? Their dreams have been shattered, and their innocence lost. Too many hate themselves, hate others and hate God. They have lost hope and see no way out.
Why do kids get depressed...so they start using meds, and abusing them?
Why do girls feel the need to act like sluts to impress guys?
Why can't people show their sexuality freely, without worrying about being judged?
In the Bill Of Rights, it says we have FREEDOM OF SPEECH! So why are we so afraid to speak up for ourselves and others?
We live in a world where if you're not skinny, not beautiful, not sexy, not straight...you are tortured, abused, and humiliated. We say that we are all equal but, there is still racism, sexism, and people judging others based on their religion, color, size, heritage, etc.
IS THIS AMERICAN?
IS THIS THE NATION WE LIVE IN AND FIGHT WARS TO SUPPORT?
I AM SICK OF IT! Stereotypes, and everything else. I want to live in a good place, without suicide, rape, murder, hate and JUDGEMENT!

Often I cry when I hear Madonna sing "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" because it tells the story of a person who just wanted to be loved and the rejection she faced. Prejudice and lack of genuine caring, regardless of the "authority" behind it, kills the spirit and joy of life, and defames God.
The youth in the above videos define the joy and the spirit of life in that very small time frame we call "childhood". Don't be a joy killer and rob your child and yourself of this most precious time. Listen to their laughter, let your heart soak in their smile and love your children unconditionally before your time runs out. Don't miss the opportunity to love people with your whole heart while you have the chance.
My story has a good ending because out of the self hate and internal rage I had growing up I was able to use it as a vehicle to reach out to and help youth in some of the nation's most dangerous gangs and others that felt like no one gave a damn about them or that they were not loved by God. So if there is a moral to my story it is this: Please don't ever give up on yourself because the hurt that you have gone through in the past or even today can be used by you to help someone else because you are not talking to them from a textbook but you are talking to them from the depth of your heart.
My abuse started when I was very young...My story is too long so I have posted it in a series of blogs.

Who I'd like to meet: All my past friends and those who had to leave my site because their parents could not accept them as God created them-for them my heart weeps. It's been a juggernaut, but "IF THE RAINS DON'T CLEANSE" (my novel about my parents' experiences as schoolteachers in 1950s Africa) is finally marked as "IN STOCK" at Amazon.com.
