"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)

Promotional Video(My Girl From The South Sea Isles)

"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff

Hi Joe! I hope this message finds you well.
Can't wait to come to Charlotte!!

Claire and I have returned from our 3 months EU& UK tour. So, I just posted a note about what's going on with The Bowmans on facebook... and then I started writing a mass email... and then I decided against it... so I'm doing this instead.
(begging) Will you visit my profile page to help me spread the word, pretty please??? We have a sneak preview of the new album (Produced by Malcolm Burn, Mastered by Greg Calbi) up for 5 days only… and it can be bought within the next 5 days only!

Thanks in advance if you do.

Kerry's Dad

Kevin Gulbranson

Sep 24 2008 2:51 AM

Kerry’s Debut Album – Jezebel’s Daughter – was released on August 26, 2008.

“Personal, emotionally driven songwriting from this angelic-voiced singer/guitarist in the North Carolina Mountains. Kerry says writing a song is a cathartic, therapeutic event. She hopes others find a little of themselves in her songs.”

To hear a sample or to buy check out www. myspace. com/kerrygulbranson

We hope you’ll enjoy and share with family and friends!!

An independent review - "the amazing enchantress muse of the redheaded order, chaos queen Kerry Gulbranson has released her debut album "Jezebel's Daughter", which everyone should own.... maybe not everyone, but certainly YOU!

Her voice!
Like sun-warmed honey tuned to manna-mantra-singsong-sutras. There are bees still stuck in it. Check out what the buzz is all about.

Her lyrics!
Bird's don't even come up with this kind of stuff. Compared to her degrees of cleverness and wordistry, they are but Ill-literate pockets of feathers and fur.

Her music!
with REAL instruments, yo! From the airwaves, waiting for centuries to be piped into this world.

Sloppy Joe,
Just stopping by to let you know about the FREE SHOW we're putting on at the Neighborhood Theatre this Friday July 11th. It's our only show in town this summer so we wanted to make it special, and what with the gas prices and all we figured what better way to throw a party than to just forget the price tag and get down! So come on out... we're going to have a great time, we'd love to show you how we've grown, it's a friday night, we've got two great bands playing with us, and hey... it's free!

Hope you're doing well, and we're looking forward to seeing you out on the 11th!

cheers,
The New Familiars
