"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff

Kerry’s Debut Album – Jezebel’s Daughter – was released on August 26, 2008.
“Personal, emotionally driven songwriting from this angelic-voiced singer/guitarist in the North Carolina Mountains. Kerry says writing a song is a cathartic, therapeutic event. She hopes others find a little of themselves in her songs.”
We hope you’ll enjoy and share with family and friends!!
An independent review - "the amazing enchantress muse of the redheaded order, chaos queen Kerry Gulbranson has released her debut album "Jezebel's Daughter", which everyone should own.... maybe not everyone, but certainly YOU!
Her voice! Like sun-warmed honey tuned to manna-mantra-singsong-sutras. There are bees still stuck in it. Check out what the buzz is all about.
Her lyrics! Bird's don't even come up with this kind of stuff. Compared to her degrees of cleverness and wordistry, they are but Ill-literate pockets of feathers and fur.
Her music! with REAL instruments, yo! From the airwaves, waiting for centuries to be piped into this world. ”
hey joe, we'll be at the evening muse the next two monday nights...please, stop by and share some songs, and hear some gretel. hope all's well. peace, reva (of gretel)
