Quick history: The Tribune traces its roots back to August 1869 and is the oldest continuing business operating in San Luis Obispo. The Tribune was acquired by The McClatchy Co. from Knight Ridder in June 2006.
Circulation: The Tribune has a circulation of 39,863 daily copies and 44,273 copies on Sunday. It reaches 7 out of 10 (70 percent! wow!) county adults daily.
