Raison d'être, Peter Andersson's most known project, formed in 1991 as a tool of expression with the goal of self-realization. For a decade now, and with a vast number of CD releases on the Cold Meat Industry label, raison d'tre have been supplying listeners with overwhelming dark ambient industrial landscapes of beauty and sorrow, and do this with an inspirational flow that does not seem to ever run dry.
From the first CD, Prospectus I, the sound has evolved and been refined for every new album, from a mainly orchestral sounding environment with present bells, Gregorian choirs, drums and sustained strings, to slowly moving towards deep darkness of drones, haunting chorals and industrial wasteland ambiences. Raison d'tre seem to have the ability to incorporate the most contradictory elements into an imaginative realm of drama and splendid unity which probably will affect even the most dry-minded beings on the earth.

Check out 3 new premixes from my coming album-project "Animalevolence". Premixes of "Doom-s-mooD", "F:lower Scent Frequencies" and "B:utter-F:lies" present some styles that is coming on : ambient/alternative/gothic/electronica/experimental/etc. These versions are very raw and uncomplete: final mixing, lyrics and vocals will be added and whole album will be completed and finished sometime around next summer.
