Slow Coming Day was an indie rock band based out of Southern California. The group released it's first independent EP "A Part of Me Died" EP in 2002, followed by a full length "Farewell to the Familiar" on Tooth and Nail Records in 2003. The group toured with many great bands such as Mae, Copeland, Emery, The Working Title, Spitalfield, Action Action, As Tall As Lions, Gatsby's American Dream, Waking Ashland, Mewithoutyou, Anberlin, Brandtson, and Watashi Wa just to name a few. In 2005 the band released an independent EP entitled "Police and Paramedics" which was only sold at shows. Then right before officially breaking up in 2006 Slow Coming Day released a final EP "Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace".
Orion Walsh, singer/songwriter/guitarist of Slow Coming Day now is a solo artist and just released his debut full length album "Tornado Lullabies". Brad Smith, guitar/songwriter now plays in Copia. Ryan MacIntosh, bass guitar, now plays in Pilot Whale.
