Triathlon (swim, bike, run) all distances, Goals: going sub-6 in a Half Ironman and going sub-12 in an Ironman. Surfing, camping, cooking, reading, just about anything outdoors. Want to someday go back to New Zealand and Japan.
Usually heavier stuff. Can't wait for the new Disturbed cd. Do yourself a favor and go buy Five Finger Death Punch's new cd, seriously!! Korn, Static X, Dope, Tool, White Zombie, Rammstein, Godsmack, Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine, Slipknot, Old Metallica (sorry kids, their new stuff sucks), and old Red Hot Chili Peppers (the ones George Clinton produced). However, I listen to all kinds of music though (Zero 7, Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Manu Chau, Mana, Marley, Steel Pulse, Black Uhuru, Old School Hip Hop), Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples. Don't get to watch much television but I really like Scrubs, House, and any of the Law and Orders whenever I get a chance...
I am also a Biggest Loser junkie!! Their stories and transformations are so inspiring to me.

Mostly fantasy and science fiction. Terry Goodkind, George RR Martin, Hemingway (Old Man and the Sea - my favorite of all time), Steinbeck, The Good Earth, The Last Samari, Way of the Peaceful Warrior. Also anything with Vampires in it.

My name is Scott and I live in Wilmington, NC. I had a double lung transplant in 2001 due to end stage Cystic Fibrosis. Now I am very active in the endurance lifestyle. Ironic isn't it?! I run all distance triathlons and I've raced for 5 seasons in the NC Triathlon Series. I became the first double lung recipient to attempt and finish the Ironman distance at Ironman Florida in 2006. I also competed at the Hawaiian Ironman World Championships in 2007 but was forced to pull out at mile 90 on the bike due to nutritional issues. I work full time but also spend my time speaking to children and young adults with Cystic Fibrosis and transplants. I also do some motivational speaking on the side.
My "A" race this year will be the Ironman Arizona in November.

Thanks for the add man. Real inspirational to others. Personally I use to hate any cardio; but since Tx. (5 yrs ago) I manage about 10 miles a week.Most I ever did; in a day; was 4 an almost 3/4 miles.But the heat here in La. is killer.
