Driving melodic guitars; funky, slinky bass lines; drums that slide from power to subtlety and back again: These are the ingredients that necessary for a dynamic rock band. This is what you can expect from Slow Joe Crowe.
But add to that beautiful chaos, that splendour of expression, a voice that demands your attention, a voice that can express every emotion of the human experience. Now you are talking about a force worthy of reckoning.
R. Bailey Allen, Joshua Deck and Jay Moreau individually are accomplished musicians. Slow Joe Crowe will make your heart explode.

Slow Joe Crowe needs a show we should line up a show for the end of August or beginning of Sept. That way people have something to look forward to and it will force us to practice more. you know my house is always open for jamming.
hey guys I just got off the phone with a guy from illumina records, he works with Rock for Life and he said that he really wanted to put our(really your)music on a dual disc CD. Its free promotion for the band and i just wanted to talk to you about it some more. The only thing is that he needs a song by Friday so if we could try and get together before then it would be most Exellent.
I just finished listiening to 'Roto-Vibe'....wow....seriouslly...wow! I don't know what kind of magic you conjuered up in le-studio, but it certainlly worked! Even Mr. DrumMachince somehow doesn't sound as cheesy. He's a great worker, but it's about time for him to retire, and I'm glad. I'm not sure what process you used as far as mics or whatever...I recall Bay mentioning something about you no longer recoding direct which would make sense. The 1st 2 albums suffered production, you have that flat sterile sound with the guitars...Like you're playing through a 30watt solid state as opposed to an all-tube halfstack. The songs are great on the 1st 2 albums, but yeah, a complete over-haul of the sound would certainly do them justice.
This 3rd album is great! You have a nice full-bodied organic sound. Very clean, and very professional.
It sounds like a good chunk of the songs are reflective, in my opinion, like you now have your sound established and you're looking back. There's also a sense of future like you've got this far and truly uncovered something...now just wait and see what's to come kinda thing going on. All the tools are now in place, and you guys are deeply rooted which your sound and direction at this point. The 3rd album shows this. You definately got a handle on the recording, I can't wait to come back and explore the inner-workings of the studio! These songs are really good! I love track 8! The single note driving bass line had me jumping around the house! The use of effects throughout the album is crazy...are you adding them with software or do you have a mammoth pedalboard full of goodies?
Anyway, love the tunes, you guys have my support all the way!
its christmas... agian. i may be around at some point this week to see the fam. get in touch if you'd like. i'm sure after an hour or so of the rents i may need to take a breather.pieces
loving the songs on your page...i think you need to drop a cd off for me at benjamins, bc my thief of a roommate (aka amber) never retured the original cd you gave me.
Miss you toooooooo - (to the newer members of the band, I'm sure I'd miss you had we ever had the chance to meet). Who thought I'd actually pine to stock the cooler?
and by the way, jaybird... the line of the poem is this is my last DUCHESS hanging on the wall. that would be a great big gigantic "my bad."
