Slow Learners met on the third coast about 10 years back. Since that fateful encounter [which included a green Chicago sky, a duel at dawn, a scarlet message in an illegal newsletter, a purist sculpted from cinnamon sticks, a penny brown penny, chalk flying from a blackboard, cryptic talks of King Lear, a Cuban woman strumming a comely guitar, a sad but beautiful winter coat, trampoline jumping, heavy metal standards, rainsoaked coffee walks, and the mumblings of a man known only as GEORGE] they have traveled through the British Isles, picked pockets at the earth's grand canyon, shown Marie the great American landscape, and led a small [but failed] mapping expedition along the great lakes. They are now known to be plundering sleepy villages along the wealthy western coast of the Americas, always in search of the the everlasting hubcap.
