"Back in 1989, in between the first and second incarnations of Screeching Weasel, bassist Dan Schafer and then-drummer Brian Vermin formed Sludgeworth, which then proceeded for a couple of years to virtually rule the Chicago scene. They eventually foundered on the rocks of "artistic differences" and were supplanted by a reborn Screeching Weasel and a host of other Chicago bands, but now the shrouds of the past have lifted to reveal this near-perfect nugget of classic punk rock."

"Spiraling guitars build thick layers of loud, melodic noise. Each chord builds upon the previous one until it's like a blanket of fresh snow, covering everything in sight. Vocals are a brisk wind, kicking up the sound and pushing it along. Sludgeworth captured the late '80s Chicago Punk sound perfectly."

wow killer show @ reggies last night,i haven't done a stage dive sense high school, you guys rock, have a safe trip ta baltamore,& much luck with you other bands fella's,take it eaze bill,
Guys, i'll happily write a song for your new album if you decide to get back together for one more... I'm sure Kris will too... the glory days aren't over... Forget the Methadones (not really, they are amazing) - this is the one that will make Danny a famous frontman. No shit. 8 hours a day.. you can have a world beater in a month ;). Do it Do it. I'll give you a of LIST engineers/producers that would make it sound amazing, the word "Alge" wouldn't even be in it until near the end.
Kris may have recently released one of the worst albums of the past few years but he's right. Track a new record. 11 songs, the right production... It could make people shit themselves in delight.
Thanks for the top friends thing. I am truly honored. For the record I think I have made every friend I ever had buy a copy of "Losers of the Year". Seriously without that band my little band would not exist. Hopefully that reunion sparked something. Cheers. -your friend, Kris
