    SLUG Magazine is Salt Lake's local music rag. SLUG has been around for 20 years and celebrated our 20th birthday in Feb 2009. We're one of the oldest zines in the nation and we are still a free publication.

    SLUG is dedicated to bringing its readers the best in local music content, action sports and letting our readers know what the hell is going on in the city of Salt.

    Look for SLUG anyplace cool on the first Friday of every month, and if you're fave hangout doesn't carry us let us know--we'll get some mag's there quick!

    Refunds for the "Peace Summit of the Bands, a Benefit Concert for The First Step House," will be available sometime next week. If you purchased your tickets from the bands, you will have to contact them for your refunds. If you purchased from Smith’s Tix, Monday morning we will work out how to get your refunds and an update will be posted. We at the First Step House and The Salt Lake Community College are truly sorry for the inconvenience; Moreover, we are more than willing to work out a time when we could make this up to the fans of all the bands, but this is honestly in the hands of the bands, because of their busy summer schedules. Please forgive us for having to cancel this show; it was truly a hard decision. Who would have thought it would be a monsoon here in Utah at the end of June. :-(
