bombednation	Oct 15 2007 10:57 AM clouds are flowing by like blankets in the sky i have been driven down into wood by the hammer of petty old womens' rage tied down by mundane oxygen sliding across smoke stained yellow teeth 40 hours a week baby grind it out praying for a paycheck like warriors pray for victory to slip into to the oblivion of solitude with nothing but skewed memories seems dull, and enough but now its midnight and the wind boils, the clouds battle i'm seeing colors and feeling great floating along on the fumes of burned up dreams there's no cure for a broken heart just the reality of a nowhere job in a nowhere town i sleep 1.78 miles from where i put up with madness, work, whatever 7 stop lights and two school zones reminding me why i got out of the marine corps i craved freedom but all i got was nitrous oxide floating clouds life limps by like traffic creeping inhale, exhale watch movies, buy a pricey bottle of red wine drive a nice smelling comfortable car put up with your job like an optimistic whore dream of how your girlfriend could be perfect put things in your fridge you know will wilt, turn green and go bad sweep the floor, vacuum the carpet and feel vindicated for doing so but don't quit everything don't blow your boss away with a hot, blue-black smoking barrel laugh like a perverted clown and lay waste to all the droll stupidity in your life with gleaming razors because then you would be forced to admit to squeezing life by the throat instead of the other way around- H.D. was right - we live quiet, desperate lives and when our love breaks we are soaked with bloated loss the one singular thing that felt unique is ripped away and we have to quietly (and not so quietly, obviously) admit things before moving on to the next boredom cure inhale, exhale we quiver at chaos the alternative numbs you say you hate it but in the end we all get exactly what we want keep it like a secret: own it, and
