Sounds Like	EARTHY SOUL witha FUNKY STROLL Our first gig was something like a happy accident, if you believe in accidents. Three of us were summoned to play music in a midwestern restaurant on very short notice. The tasty concoction was called "Sly Chef & the Vegetables". Wood played the drums and I think Dave played the tuba. After that fateful night we became excited with the potential of this new band, and like the cork from an anxious bottle of champagne, we launched ourselves across great Lake Winnebago to play our second gig. This time we would be called, "The Operators". And before the paint could dry on the side of the van, we had gathered another handful of enormously talented troubadours into the group, and changed our name to the one you know and love today. In 2008 we released our first full length album, "Surrounded by the Heart" on a long-sleeved autumn evening. As we played those new songs of love and happiness, people danced in the theater and screamed like we were the Beatles. I think Dave played the tuba. Much Love, Sly Joe
