Hello I’m actor/singer/songwriter Stephen Lyons, welcome to my page. I’ve just released my first full length album, ‘Fall’ produced by Grammy nominated, Philadelphia producer Anthony Newett (Newett Studios) and independent producer Jeff Barrett. The title track and another song on the album ‘How Do You Know’ hit number 1 on Indyreview.net for several weeks and tracked in the top 10 for over a month. In my music you’ll hear a blend of pop/indie/vocal and has been compared to such artists as: Jeff Buckley, Josh Groban, U2, and Keane.
My new album features a diverse collection of songs that range from the romantic and anthemic 'Fall' to the timeless Simon/Garfunkel classic, 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'. I studied Bel Canto vocal technique under Barbara Washington-Grant at The University of the Arts, and received my BA in Theatre from De Sales University. I’m originally from West Chester, Pennsylvania, and I’ve toured extensively as an actor appearing as Jamie Wellerstein in the Drama Desk award winning musical, ‘The Last 5 Years’ by Jason Robert Brown (Reprising the role three times), Judas Iscariot in Godspell directed by Broadway veteran, Newt Gilchrist and numerous other productions from classical to musical theatre.
I recently appeared online as the patriotic country superstar, JT Kraig in The Onion News satire sketch piece, ‘Bomb New York’. I’ve written and performed original music for the Orlando-UCF Shakespeare Festivals folk/rock production of As You Like It which earned a Lillie Stoates nomination for best production in the spring of 2001.
