Formed in late 2005 by songwriter/guitarist J Shaw, with gaz gaz and ben. As Jaymz wrote the songs he reluctantly picked up the vocals and developed a style which could suit the rawness of songs. This however was never intended to be a long term thing and smalllife still plan to get a stand alone rock vocalist sometime in 07. smalllife started recording at Prism studio's and gigging across stoke in 2006. The band have had an heady time on sites such as mp3unsigned and Isound recieveing amazing reviews and mp3unsigned's band of the year 2006. After the band recorded their first proper EP 'Arrogance' they parted company with their then lead guitarist and recruited Ash and the musical direction kinda changed leaving behind most hints of indie, with song like 'Christian, Quit My Band and Run Away' off their second EP 'Realisation. Their song 'Home' of the same album was also played and praised on BBC staffs Radio. smalllife are recording their third EP in Feb 2007 and have gigs planned for march and lots more throughout 2007. We intend to keep on rocking and keep working on our sound and song structure with our next EP looking to be even more riff and section based. I'd recommend you to visit mp3unsigned which contains ALL songs of their last two EP's and a few dodgy oldies too! Feel free to contact us for gigs or any more information. Hey good people of smalllife - thanks for the add - appreciated :) - I thought there was an outside possibility you may be interested in a live video of ours, not just for the nice song we are singing nicely, but also cos its pretyt well shot and our mate that did it is looking for some bizness and does this sort of thing at a very reasonable rate, I mean even we could afford it, but I'm not pretending this is purely altruistic on my part, you may enjoy the song and fancy coming to a show.
