The Small Mercies believe in fast punk rock played with all the passion in the world. We dont credit ourselves with technical ability or style. But we do believe in fun times, DIY Punk rock, making new friends, visiting new places and making as much noise as possible. Enjoy our songs, we enjoy playing em!
Check out Tonys online blog, RANTINGS OF AN OLD PUNK, about the fun and games and good times of playing in a DIY punk band, when really at his age, he ought to know better!
“Limited to 666 numbered copies on white vinyl! Features the classic Queers lineup of Joe King, Hugh O'Neill Jr. and JJ Rassler, there are two songs from the "Grow Up" period here for the first time ever on vinyl. Flipside features two tracks by Brighton, UK's THE HOTLINES (Queers/BeachBoys-core)”
tommorow night i'm running this show, usualy that would be a good thing, but after 8 years of doing jugsout, i still haven't learnt. i've got these 5 bands;
clay pigeon - incredible, policical, ska, punk, hip hop, beatbox from east london just get better and better every time they play, if your in norwich you probably saw them on my birthday, very good very good
the skints - dirty sexy ska dub punk again from east london (two bands on tour together), i saw them at strawberry fair they just fucked me up
7 day conspiracy- snuff meets propagandhi from kent, socialy aware songs, technical songmanship, on various artist records which is simon from snuffs label
sammys fatal mistake- ex members of evil macaroni, not very like evil macaroni, more like if good riddance were street punk if your get me, great fast hard show
the tagnuts- these guys call them selves ska punk gimp core, i dunno but i got drunk for two days with the guitarist and i'd says he's ska punk gimp core, from cambridge
anyway you can prob see these guys are not from norwich, and with 3 other shows on in norwich tomorrow night and a party i'm gunna find it hard to pay these guys there petrol. basically i'm asking you to come to the show, it's the lat jugsout show aswell, it's gunna break my fucking heart if it's empty, i hope you can come, it's £3.50 at the queen charlotte on dereham rd norwich, thanks for reading
ollie jugsout ps please forward this to anyone you know in norwich, cheers x
Aw my dear Small Mercies. How I miss yous. Thanks for coming and playing and watching our bad set that night. The gig we played the Sunday of the Fest was amazing though. Oh yeah you ate all my beans and saw Dan's balls. What a good time, I was over in Germany all week and wore my sweet Small Mercies t-shirt the whole time. Sooo don't be surprised if yous get signed to some huge German label soon. I'm only saying. Hope you're well. Come play again. -Mike Cut The Sarahs.
