We are Writer/Keyboard Player/Producers Steven Francis & Mike Dade and we've been making noise since we were born.
From the usual beginnings of 4 track-tape recordings and gigs in church halls, to the London circuit and the release of our first homegrown album "/end" in 2002. Songs about being happy, being sad and being irritated, played by a cast of great musicians and vocalists and machines. And us.
Since our last album, we've been writing and rehearsing, playing the odd gig, evolving and writing some more. We'd like to go faster but it's all one big musical experiment and the only rule is 'don't go back to where you've already been', but the new stuff is sounding good, and when it's ready we'll preview it here on MySpace. Until then we'll rotate tracks from our back catalogue. We hope you enjoy them.
Pop music doesn't have to be disposable and it doesn't have to be a ringtone.
I've still got the tape somewhere of the first gig I went to... some church hall in Croydon in 1991. I think it was Croydon. Time flies... "Ocean of Storms" is still on my driving tape... and "Can You Hear Me". They must be golden oldies by now! Great to see you're still at it, you pair of musomasochists.... Pen x
