I've always followed sports. Love the competition. Having a father from New York, I was raised a Yankees fan and even loved them during some bad streaks and even a disappointing 2007 season. With that said, my NL team is the Philadelphia Phillies and I'm even more passionate about the Philadelphia Eagles. If I had to pick an NBA team, I'd have to go with the Miami Heat. No, I'm not a bandwagon follower. I started following them more closely when the Heat drafted Dwayne Wade.
Music
I find myself listening to everything. And like everyone else says, it depends on the mood. I'm a big country fan, I know some of you out there are flinching at the sound of that. But you'd be happy to know I listen to a lot of rock too and even some hip/hop and rap. Like I said, it depends on the mood: Stone Temple Pilots, Matchbox Twenty, Kanye West, Jason Aldean, My Chemical Romance, Johnny Cash, Kenny Chesney, Linkin Park. You name it, it's probably on my iPod shuffle.
Movies
Bull Durham, Any Given Sunday, Major League (Just the first one), Talladega Nights, Blades of Glory (If it has Will Ferrell in it, I'm game), Shawshank Redemption, A Few Good Men, Deja Vu, Forrest Gump, Wedding Crashers, Old School, Blood Diamond, We Were Soldiers, Shrek, The Aviator, Anchorman, Top Gun, Pirates of the Caribbean and tons more. I can go on for hours, but in short: if it's a biopic, adventure or adrenaline rush, you'll find me in the seat.

About me: Like most Americans, I fell in love with sports from a young age and have stayed involved in one way or another to this very day. Being raised in Alaska also exposed me to the great outdoors and wildlife of one of the most beautiful places in the world.
After graduating with a degree in journalism, I have covered events in sports, outdoors and entertainment and have been published in numerous newspapers and online media.
So here I am, doing what I love to do: reading, writing and living everything that has to do with sports and outdoors.
Who I'd like to meet: Athletes, student-athletes, sports enthusiasts, sports haters, Yankees Fans, Sox Fans, bloggers, streakers, Cheeseheads, Michael Jordan and anyone else who shares a fondness or hate for sports. So in short: YOU!
