Construction has started on a $2 million project to improve safety along Belair Road, from Cottington Road to India Avenue. This is the final phase of an effort that actually started in 2002, when the Perry Hall Improvement Association asked the Maryland State Highway Administration to evaluate the safety of the area near Chick-Fil-A restaurant. The state recommended engineering improvements along much of the corridor. These were reviewed by a panel of community and business leaders, as well as the Eighth District state legislators.
