Smaxone was formed in the late fall of 2003 between long-time friends Casper Skafte, Claus Lillelund and Brian "Brylle" Rasmussen. Skafte and Claus Played together in Danish Rockband Elopa but due to different interests the band parted ways and Skafte formed Smaxone and asked Brian of Danish metalband Mnemic to join on drums and Claus to do the vocals.
It didn..t take long before 4th member, Michael Bøgballe - ex-frontman of Danish metalband Mnemic, joined forces with the band adding variation and a more heavy aspect to the music with his hard and extreme vocallines!
All tracks are written and arranged by Skafte but with Brian, Michael and Claus..s original and open approach towards the music it went up several levels!! So with the writing and recording of their debut album "Regression" Smaxone went from being a studio projekt to a genetic metalband with great personallity and expression!!

Smaxone is finally back. After the very well received debut album “Regression” the band were nominated for the Danish “Way Up North” award and also nominated for “Debut Album of the Year” and “Best Production of the Year” at the Danish metal Awards Show. The band received loads of praising reviews. Some of these counts:

Smaxone is back to show the way in hybrid Rock and Metal – with new sounds, songs and riffs that are going to make you jump your seat. “The Red Album” is the title of this new masterpiece from Smaxone and you should expect in-your-face rock..n..roll songs mixed with great melodies and catchy refrains – still with the original sound of Smaxone and still with lots of space to do the unexpected.
The album is once again produced by Skafte (Mercenary, Columbian Neckties) and mastered by Ziggy (Illdisposed, Mercenary).
