About me:
If you need or want to talk to someone right now, please call our crisis lines. Counselors are available and ready to listen 24 hours a day. You can also check out our teen chatroom, open most weekday evenings, offering support for teens from teens.

We're a crisis center located in the Bay Area, CA. We have crisis lines open 24/7, with someone who is always ready and willing to talk about whatever you may be going through. Call us if you're stressed out and need someone to talk to, if you're worried about a friend and want to know how to help them through a difficult situation, if you have any questions regarding community resources or other advice is needed. We are presenting The Jerry Greenspan Student Voice of Mental Health Award for college students. This award is for a video on their experiences with mental health issues and how they are working to raise awareness and encourage their peers on the issue. The award includes a $2,000 scholarship, a trip to NYC to our annual gala in June 2009, recognition through our site and events and possibly appearing on MTVU. The info is on our site. Apply today. STOP Same Sex Abuse	Dec 4 2008 5:34 PM About this page: I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there is a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D

VOICES-Standing In The Gap For Abused Children	Apr 7 2008 5:35 PM Without love we cannot live. We cannot live without compassion We cannot have compassion without heart We cannot have heart with out circumstances. Through life, we live, learn, fall down, jump up, and we rise up to be stronger people for it. Yet, we weaken ourselves and give in more times than we jump up and dust ourselves off. We wonder why bad things happen to innocent people? We role around in self pity and never want to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I believe, if we set ourself aside for 1 moment in time, we will see a day nobody cried. You are truly a remarkably strong woman. May God always bless you.
