Hi Shannon & hopefully my new friends! I have suffered/battled anorexia for many decades. I am going through a severe 2 year relapse, & I am finally seeing a wonderful therapist, but it's soooo hard! I am facing the struggles of waking my mind back up to face reality, and I certainly did not know how many issues I had! Recovery takes hard work & dedication. But, believe me, if I can do it - so can anyone can! The key is getting the right therapy that will not only re-feed you but address the deep causes that we are not even aware of. I look forward to getting to know you all. God bless! Betsy
I just want to say Thank You for giving (us) people awareness and hope that we can overcome such a terrible disease. You are a true inspiration and I appreciate how avid you are in sharing information about eating disorders. Thanks again and much love and luck, Marilyn.
Do you have someone in your life with a history of stormy relationships, unexpected mood swings, fears of you leaving them, sometimes intense anger, impulsivity, unstable self-image?
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is actually about two to three times more prevalent than bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, yet many people have never heard of it.
Roughly 17 million Americans -- 75% of which are women – or 6% of the general population, suffer with BPD. Few know they even have it. Most family members are just hurt and confused by it.
Happy Birthday, Shannon!! Figured I'd play it safe and wish you happy birthday on facebook AND on here, in hopes that you will at least get one of them (maybe before tonight is over, but that probably won't happen since today is almost over). So........happy birthday!! Hope it was awesome.

Just stopping by to check in and see how life is going. Also, wanted to let you know I really appreciate everything you do, and I really feel like I'm being an inconsiderate person for not answering your last message yet. The truth is, I just have so much to say, and I never can sit down and just write it all out. I'll get on it soon, though....hopefully. <3 Becca
Hello. First we want to say thank you for your support and awareness on this very important issue for it is an issue that touches and affects each one of us. You will be hearing much more from us as we move forward with this campaign. We are currently prioritizing the need for healthcare insurance for the women and children of America. We are reaching out to the community, asking that the community as well, communicate this issue of healthcare for women and children to everyone that they feel understands the issue and priority of healthcare for women and children. We ask that individuals and communities get involved to support comprehensive healthcare for women and children. We encourage everyone to communicate to the candidates running for national office (Congress and the White House) that we will support and vote for a common sense plan for national healthcare insurance for the women and children of America. In support of a coherent plan. It is time think clearly!
Shannon, i know you don't know me but in a few days i will be going away to impatient eating disorder treatment. I am very scared and don't know what to do. You are someone that i look up to, with that said, any words of Wisdom or Advice. P.S. I signed the I have a dream...petition and created a group on facebook and so far i think 100 or so of my friends have also signed the petition.
