The best way to describe Smear’s sound is to imagine a raspy voice over catchy metal riffs that lead into punk chord progressions, "surrealistic" bridges, psychedelic instrumentals, funky bass fills, heavy drum punches, and blues influenced anti-solos. We really don’t stick to a specific sound, but for the most part, Smear has been said to be an evolved heavy grunge. Eh, could be better, but you know how that goes. Joe is in New Jersey and Cams got graduation next week and things have been a bit crazy with the band. Good crazy in some ways. Not sure if you heard but they got asked to play Vans Warped tour, so we are pretty excited, but at the same time stressed because there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to do all of the stuff I need to do. Do you guys have any shows coming up? Because we really want to get out to see you guys. It seems everytime you are either playing the same day as Curmudgeon or the guys can't get in cause they are not old enough:(
