The best way to describe the sound of SDII is easy, "All Grown Up". Over the last year and a half that the band has been dormant, each member has been playing different styles of music and learning what really makes each of them tick. There is no doubt that it's Smiley Died, and the new material has an obvious energy that it never had before.
Breaking away from the traditional "POP Rock" , SDII is more infused with and edgier style. The lyrical content that Smiley Died has always brought to the table, is now sharing that spot with the powerful guitar style from Jay. Matt and Jim drive the music leaving those prefect moments open and let the music breathe life.
The new cd Bourbon Cafe is here and on sale now. Purchase your copy today from CDBABY.COM, ITUNES.COM, the offical website for SD2 at SMILEYDIED.COM, or at one of our shows.
