SMIR a beaucoup bougé depuis sa création! Et l'année 2006 s'est terminée avec une nomination au showcase Electro Rock des Mimi, ce qui a permis au groupe de se faire connaître.
Eric a beaucoup travaillé pour trouver les membres présents: Emanuelle au keyboard et au vocal, le batteur Alex Grousset (membre du groupe de Kevin Thomson et ISOLATE CAST) Baptiste Novel à la bass .....
Toutes ces personnes ont répondu présent pour faire de SMIR une expérience musicale indie rock electro trash .
SMIR is born in 2004 when Eric composes alone in his cold grey loft in Montreal, working during the whole summer. When he felt ready, he decided to find some musicians in order to give his songs life. After a long search and some unfruitful attempts,... he let his imagination reacts... SMIR has changed a lot from its creation! And the band started to be famous in 2006 with a nomination at the showcase "Electro Rock des Mimi". Eric worked a lot to find the actual personnel: Emanuelle, from the band "L'aurore et ses Martyrs" plays keyboard and vocal, Alex Grousset (also drummer of Kevin Thompson's band); Baptiste Novel Bassman !!! All these people are motivated to make SMIR an indie rock electro trash intense and visual musical experience. One self-produced EP is available in limited edition!
