The band spent 12 months months locked in their own recording studio putting together a collection of amazing songs - only venturing out for the occasional sold-out home-town gig.
Smith6079 has more than 40 songs recorded and mastered and is currently considering some interesting offers.
Smith6079 were named Best New Band at the prestigious Glasswerk New Music Awards in November 2007 and also won the Best Video gong for their debut single 'Kill Romeo'.
They have recently been billed as "Manchester's best unsigned band" by the hugely popular Manchester After Dark website and named as 'The Ones To Watch' by the influential Fly Magazine.
If you like your rock music hard, heavy, angry and bursting with attitude then Smith 6079 is the band you have been looking for.
Chris Long, music reviewer for BBC Online said: "Meatier than Kasabian and more fulfilling than Death from Above 1979, Smith 6079 have kindled a musical fire which might just burn down the world".
The band were chosen to support Kasabian and The Fratellis at the huge JerseyLive Festival in September. They were hand-picked to play on the JerseyLive main stage by Martin Elbourne, the chief band booker for the Glastonbury Festival.
