Chi sono:
I am an awards ceremony which celebrates all the badness of bad movies (or if you prefer "the B-ness of B-movies"). I am not a tool for exploring the meaning of Fitzcarraldo or sitting through Caligula Reincarnated as Hitler and feeling like shooting yourself afterwards. I say to you, no! I am instead for celebrating the solar-powered underwater Nazi zombies of Shock Waves, or the Imperial Battleship's time-halting ray of Star Crash, even the incomparable acting of Myra Chason in The Lost Idol. In short, I am for having fun at.
I meet the public formally thrice a year (one in Northampton, Mass. (new! smaller! improved? not so much), at Smith College's ConBust, once in Ann Arbor, typically in April, once in Columbus at the Origins Game Convention), and informally a few other times here and there. In Ann Arbor (and to a lesser extent Noho), I am accompanied by Unhealthy Snacks. In Columbus, I am larger (bloated), and therefore louder. In either case, I qualify as both pathology and fetish. I should only be attended by those who are allowed to watch R-rated movies.
