The Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) approaches again, and with it comes the 2008 Pre-PAX kickoff party at High Dive!
This will be an extra special evening...
Beefy starts the night with some extra crispy rhymes. Goondocks follow with fan favorites old and new. Optimus Rhyme reunites to temporarily fill the void left by it's swift exodus earlier this year. And finally nerdcore living legend MC Frontalot burns the scene up like David Karesh!
THIS THURSDAY AT HIGH DIVE! 513 N. 36th St. in Fremont
It's St. Pat's once again, and once again your very own Goondocks will be blowing the roof off Fremont's revered High Dive! We must apologize for disappearing in recent months. We've been hard at work writing and arranging new material for our forthcoming new full-length release, tentatively titled, "Man, Your Mom Tastes Really Weird. What's Up With That?!" We are currently accepting suggestions for other titles.
Even with the live hiatus in full effect, we simply could not turn down the opportunity to tear up another holiday. So rest assured, tonight will be a balls-out blast of all the Goondocks fav's you've grown to love and expect with a few new twists and some extra special Irish love.
After tonight we'll again retreat to the confines of our Georgetown studio as we continue to polish our compositional turds into the shiny bright awesomeness a Goondocks full length album mandates. So tonight is your only chance in the memorable past or the foreseeable future to share an evening with your ever-loving Goondocks.
Please join us. It's an early show, appropriately scheduled for hard-core drinkin' holiday precariously standing on a Monday evening.
Your very own Goondocks are bringing the Halloween funk-fest to Fremont this weekend. Saturday night represents our third annual Halloween costume ball in Seattle. Sadly, the true holiday lands on a weeknight this year, and although you're certain to run into us Wednesday night, bouncing around town scaring the hell out of each other and weeping frequently, our official bash is tomorrow, Saturday night, at the High Dive in lovely hippy-go-yuppy Fremont. Please join us and help support the cause. Even if the cause is only for us to lose less money than we would if you don't come, it's still noble to us.
Please pass this flyer on to all worthy recipients (we're not picky). Also feel free to print it and tape it to your bedroom ceiling. We won't tell your out-of-state boyfriend, promise.
This November a third of the red note (Wex and Chapman) will be running in the 26.2 mile New York City Marathon! In addition to this feat singer / front man Shane Chapman will be attempting to raise $3,000 for lung cancer research via the Thomas G. Labrecque Foundation. Finally The Red Note gives something back and now so can you! Visit www. therednote. com to make a tax deductible donation to help Chapman and The Red Note reach their $3,000 goal.
We're also hosting a fundraising concert to help generate even more cancer-fighting dollars. Seattle's own Seeing Blind will be performing alongside The Red Note. Please join us this Friday night in Fremont! Details below.
