About me:

Smoked Country Jam Bluegrass Festival began for two reasons. First, it was a way to bring a most enjoyable type of music to the Central Pennsylvania area. Second, it was a forum to make people aware of a disease called Lupus. Lupus is a chronic disease of the autoimmune system. Right now the disease is controllable. Let's do all we can to find a cure. We hope that music is the vehicle through which this can be accomplished. Smoked Country Jam will donate all the money raised through a 3-day Lupus Auction, to the Lupus Foundation of Pennsylvania. We hope that everyone has the time of their life and that we are able to shed some light on this serious disease. We always have an awesome line up of musicians and bands. Come join us for: The 7th Annual Smoked Country Jam Bluegrass Music Festival - June 17-19, 2010

The Hillbilly Gypsies - "Bring Me A Rose"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiDAy-x9tls

It's my brother's birthday today. He would have been 61, but passed away in August. Here is a song, written by Jason Teal (and his grandfather by way of a note Teal found after his grandpa died), sung by the Hillbilly Gypsies. In 2008, they sang the song, and passed out about 100 electric roses that glowed in the dark. Happy birthday Bear
