| Bio | Born out of the collective, two brained genious that is illustrious reclouse Mike Bridenstine and the falstaffian lethargio Brendan J. McGowan, The Smoke Show (TSS) is a standup showcase offering Chicago-area comedians the chance to work on their club sets (15 or 25 minute sets, usually). In a city that has a dirth of opportunities like this, Christian Soldiers Bridenstine and McGowan donned their shiny armour of philanthropy and offered their precious time and resources to afford this platform to Chicago's best stand up comics.
Located at The Spot (4437 N. Broadway, Chicago), The Smoke Show is a safe environment for comics, comedy enthusiasts, unapologetic drinkers. | | Influences | Smoke Show (def.) - A beautiful woman, a night of or party that brings about excessive drinking, or a general stone groove of a time (not unlike Steely Dan's "Reelin' in the Years") | | Members | Brendan McGowan, Mike Bridenstine, Chicago's best comics. | | TV Shows | Mike Bridenstine can be seen on "The Tender Trap" an episode of the short lived sitcom "Ned and Stacey" starring Thomas Hayden Church and Debra Messing (1996). | | Films | Brendan McGowan's scenes from the made for TV classic "Camp Cucamunga" (1990) were cut.
