SMOKE THEORY is the unholy bastard son of 1000 maniacs from Toledo, oHIo. Formed in the late summer of 2005 by old school Punk and Metal veterans Mark Barbour (CL1/Left For Dead etc..) and Chris Graves (Krucifier/Liver etc..) they soon got Don Clark (Unearthlies, Johnny Hooligan etc..) back in the game. Influences ranging from DRI, Slayer, Zeke, Legbone, ZZ Top, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Government Issue and far too many bands to be mentioned were assembled to put out a Smoking groove that would crush a normal puny human.
We play the music that we like and it's no surprise that most of it is intense and angry. We are not politically correct, nor do we go with the herd mentality. We speak the truth and have as much fun as we can in doing so. Those who know us personally, know that we are stand up guys who can be relied upon to do our best.
Driven by anger, pride, motorcycles, anxiety, loathing, grease, speed and psychotic reactions, this mighty band of outcasts will stop at nothing to bring the SMOKE to anyone hip enough to want it.
