Bio
Darin and Josh first met in 2001 at California State University, Monterey Bay. They were randomly selected to be roommates on the campus. Darin formed the bands Mt. Hoytboyt and Red Handed while living in the area before moving back to Bakersfield, CA where he helped form the band Fumato. In 2006, Darin moved back to the Monterey Bay where he and Josh started working on a new project, Smokey the Giant. They met David at Language Line Services where they all work and started jamming as an all strings band. David had previously played for Savoy in his home state of Indiana. When Aaron Parrot joined on drums they were able to start making musical fusion and created their first EP "Lonely City" in 2007 and then their first LP "Last Stop Seattle" in 2008. Aaron, being in the Army, was transferred to Alaska in 2008 and the search began for a new drummer. In 2009, Jimi 2Stix, from Yell or Trolley, joined the band and they started working on the new EP "Chemicals for a better future". It will be released in October 2009. .. .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .................... -
