SURVIVORS,nuevo disco de Smoking Bird para este 2010.......SURVIVORS,Smoking Bird new album A finales de 1997,bajo el nombre de Junk y con un quinto hombre a bordo, D.E.L.,comenz� la trayectoria musical conjunta de los miembros del grupo. Tras meses de ensayos,varios conciertos y la primera grabaci�n del grupo,�Fuckin..a bottle�(1998),en la que se inclu�a el himno underground �Bigot�,la banda reajusta su formaci�n y cambia su nombre por el de SMOKING BIRD..... Esta nueva etapa se inicia con la elaboraci�n de un repertorio ac�stico que dara como resultado Smoking Bird(2000),en la que a temas propios que fueron largamente presentados en directo,sumaron versiones de Free,Queen,Neil Young y The Jayhawks. �Losing touch�(2000) marca el punto donde la actividad en directo de Smoking Bird se regulariza con varias decenas de conciertos repartidos por toda la mitad este del pais desde Barcelona o Zaragoza hasta Murcia. �Losing Touch� deja notar en seis temas el amplio espectro de sensaciones que SMOKING BIRD suele producir en cinta ,desde medios tiempos cercanos al soul hasta el rock n’roll salido de madre a-la-Motorhead..... Con la edici�n de su primer disco �Sunset In A New Town�(2003),producido en una semana por Fernando Pardo,SMOKING BIRD daba por fin a sus seguidores un LP completo.Diez canciones que confirman al oyente la marca de la casa: intrincadas guitarras rockeras que nunca dejan de sorprender,una base r�tmica precisa y brillante y una voz plena de feeling y desgarradora potencia.�Brown Mountain�,�Fire Always Works� o �Eight Days More� son temas que se siguen escuchando en los conciertos de la banda,cl�sicos para los seguidores. La inclusi�n de�Lost for the most� en el recopilatorio editado por el webzine canadiense Stoner Rock Chick muestra la atenci�n que los medios del extranjero empezaban a prestar a SMOKING BIRD,tendencia que ha seguido con los dem�s lanzamientos del grupo. La guinda que iba a adornar el final de la gira de presentacion de�Sunset In A New Town�,la participaci�n de la banda en la tercera edici�n del ya mitico Festival Serie Z ,se malogr� en el ultimo momento por la desaparici�n del mismo,perdida irreparable y signo de los grandes cambios que se avecinaban en el negocio en general..... El siguiente paso para SMOKING BIRD fue �Naughty Little Girls�(2006),segundo disco largo del grupo,artefacto para la consagraci�n definitiva del estilo Smoking Bird gracias su autoproducci�n mas cuidada,el hilo conceptual de sus letras y grandes canciones cada vez mas cercanas al clasicismo.Largamente aclamado por los medios especializados,�Naughty Little Girls�contiene,como siempre pasa con estos cuatro hombres,un poco de todo,desde el influjo de Chuck Berry en temas como �R n’R Balls� o �The School� a trallazos punks, �Gimme Buzz�, pasando por temas mas intrincados,practicamente cinematogr�ficos o mini-operas como �Maniac Love� o �Movin’�. The BIRD was born in 1997 (then calling the band JUNK) out of the smouldering remains of GARLIC BREATH and JODOCUS BAND. By the end of 1997 the band had already made a name for themselves playing all over Spain. By 1999 the band released its first demo the very well received "Fuckin' A Bottle", and worked out their 'unplugged' repertory.2000 marked the release of "Smoking Bird" including Free,Queen,Neil Young or The Jayhawks covers,which also brought about the band changing its name to the same.

By mid-2000 SMOKING BIRD worked out some amazingly powerful electric material, while still utilizing their acoustic talents. "Losing Touch", the band's soon-to-be-legendary self-released demo CD/EP is recorded and released to rave reviews, as well as, more and more people coming to shows.Read some:
