Smoking Guns Studio is an independent recording studio set up in Des Moines, Ia. It caters to the needs of Indie label and independent projects with quality music production services at great rates. Smoking Guns offers clients an intimate recording environment while maintaining a high level of technical excellence. One main focus of Smoking Guns is to offer high quality recordings at a very affordable price. There's a lot of independent talent around and they have had no way to capture their music at a fair price. The studios around here charge upwards of $60-$100 an hour, and I know from experience that this is way too much money for an independent band to spend.
the cost of studio time is negotiable. i normally charge $20/hour, but i feel that making a good recording and creating good music is more important than making money, so if money is a problem, we can work something out.
