The Goo Story
Smooth Roscoe & The Goo formed in 2006 among the scenic, sleepy hills of Bala, North Wales. The band is made up of three schoolfriends; Guitarist, Dave Edwards along with Drummer, Dewi Thomas and his brother Gareth on Bass. They describe their music as 'psychedelic rock n' roll with a groove', combining powerful, floor stomping rhythms with snappy hooks and soaring harmonies. Their live performances have gained a reputation for being thoroughly loud and sweaty occasions. They have gigged relentlessly over the three years of their existence, playing venues and festivals from London to Leeds to Edinburgh and touring and performing with artists such as legendary American Guitarist Carvin Jones (check out Youtube) and the Blueskins (music from the Lynx TV advert). They have gained a considerable following, on their home turf of North Wales and also in London following their appearances in Camden and Kentish Town (check out the recent photo album).
The band claim they chose the name as it was 'the least boring' on a shortlist of suggestions which also included 'The Greasy Hinges', 'Temperature of Death', 'Johnson's Broth' and 'Satan's Jockstrap'.
Goo Review
'Definitely a band I would go and see' - Mark Radcliffe (Radio 2)
'Begin”, how cunning. A light, bippy, summery track, perfect for the prevailing mood now that barbeque season is nearly upon us. And what a finale ! The blues gave these guys a different energy to end on a high note.' - Emma Louis - Snowdonia Nights Out Gazzette
'Which one's Roscoe?' - Girl in green top

The track is just one of a number of 'out-takes' from their recent 'debut single' sessions...as it's not being planned for general release we've listed it up on our page purely as a 'sample'...so it'd be good to get some feedback.
