It was on April 12, 1984 when the hip hop star LO-SMOOTH was born. LO-SMOOTH was raised by his Puerto Rican Mother and his Black American Father, blessing LO-SMOOTH with a splash of both nationalities. LO-SMOOT H is a creative, articulate and self motivated emcee who identifies with many real life experiences as he resides in the the Fort Green section of Brooklyn. It is in this neighborhood where “The Rap Jimmy Hendrix” story originated and where LO-SMOOTH picked up the rap trade at nine years old.
When LO-SMOOTH was 16 years old, Calvin Klein introduced him to Clark Kent, one of the best and most credible Producers in the music industry who produced records for Hip Hop Icons and artist such as Jay-Z, Biggie Smalls, Foxy Brown and others. Clark Kent did not Co-sign LO-SMOOTH, but it was of no discouragement to him because he knew one day he will be crowned one of Hip Hop’s best modern day entertainers. LO-SMOOTH states “At that time, I didn’t know who Calvin Klein was. My previous manager pulled out a FEDS magazine, showed me who Calvin Klein was and what he represented. Now a day, Calvin Klein manages platinum hip hop artist AKON also owner of KONVICT MUZIK LLC.
A year later, LO-SMOOTH was brought over to Puff Daddy’s record label “BAD BOY RECORDS” to meet with quite a few A & R’s who had interested in the young aspiring artist. No record deals where closed so LO-SMOOTH aka “Smoovy so Groovy” decided to continue pursuing his music career and did so. As time went by, LO-SMOOTH exercised his expertise and crafts and began buzzing the streets heavily as his songs then and up to date, continuously climb, non-stop, on numerous credible mixtapes which were and are hosted by some of hip hops favorite DJ’s.
Surfin through numerous New York City venues, showcases, radio stations and featured in magazine publications, LO-SMOOTH “The Rap Jimmy Hendrix” remains on his daily grind in this entertainment industry as he now looks forward to adding more songs to his catalogue. He is ready, willing and able to share his talent with audiences in other markets and is willing to provide any audience with great deliverance and a spectacular performance.
Now in 2008, he connected with one of New York City’s credible Promoters, Publicist, Events Coordinator, Writer, Radio Co-host, Producer, and has collaborated with Promotions regarding his Public Relations, Promotions, Collaborations and Bookings. Now with this new addition in his career, he is but bound to use the years of Promotional services to the best of his ability to promote his talents and to allow others who are looking to sign an ARTIST/ENTERTAINER/PROFESSIONAL in hopes of seeking a deal/offer that cannot be denied.
