Silver Wave Records signs Singer/Songwriter Shelley Morningsong
Silver Wave Records, one of the world's leading contemporary Native American music companies, has signed singer/songwriter Shelley Morningsong to an exclusive recording contract, it was announced today by Allen Wollard, Director of Silver Wave Records, and James Marienthal, President of Silver Wave Inc.
Of Northern Cheyenne heritage and raised in the entertainment rich climate of Southern California, Ms. Morningsong has been a performer on stage and screen since her early childhood. Over the years she has honed her craft working alongside performers such as Charlie Daniels and Juice Newton. Most recently she has been a touring member of Native American Superstar performer Robert Mirabal's group where she sharpened her songwriting and performing skills. Her new album "Out of the Ashes" was produced by Grammy Award Winning Producer Larry Mitchell at Larry's Santa Fe Studio "Insatiable Studios Southwest".
"I can't recall the last time I saw a talent this pure. Shelley has the unique ability to embrace her Native heritage and family, as well as cross over and touch those beyond Native boundaries. We couldn't be happier that she is now a member of the Silver Wave family " said Wollard

On bended knee is no way to be free Lifting up an empty cup, I ask silently All my destinations will accept the one that's me So I can breathe...
Circles they grow and they swallow people whole Half their lives they say goodnight to wives they'll never know A mind full of questions, and a teacher in my soul And so it goes...
Don't come closer or I'll have to go Holding me like gravity are places that pull If ever there was someone to keep me at home It would be you...
Everyone I come across, in cages they bought They think of me and my wandering, but I'm never what they thought I've got my indignation, but I'm pure in all my thoughts I'm alive...
Wind in my hair, I feel part of everywhere Underneath my being is a road that disappeared Late at night I hear the trees, they're singing with the dead Overhead...
Leave it to me as I find a way to be Consider me a satellite, forever orbiting I

Of late I have been having this dilemma, Is what I write any good or just enough to give one pause, Do I write for fun, do I write for recognition, Sometimes I have found that I even write just because… Am I here on this planet to give mainly pleasure, I have found by the amount I do so for leisure, But do they to anyone give insight, Or merely cause anyone to see into my mind, a fright… I can tell few DO read what I write, I hope it does not do to their emotions anything contrite, I live to write, I write to live, I want to give others What so freely given to me With all the light and love It is all of you Coooooool??? :) Peace and much love Hope you have a very good week Terry
When we see the first glory of youth pass us by, Like a leaf on the stream that will never return, When our cup, which had sparkled with pleasure so high, First tastes of the other, the dark-flowing urn; Then, then in the time when affection holds sway With a depth and a tenderness joy never knew; Love, nursed among pleasures, is faithless as they, But the love born of Sorrow, like Sorrow, is true. And to the sunshine of smiles it may first owe its birth, But the soul of its sweetness is drawn out by tears.
