I don't really have much to say about myself. You'd just have to meet me I guess.
[i am in a constant battle with my mind. i go from thinking that i am special for being "intelligent" to realizing that being aware of my being special is, in fact a sign that i am just seeking attention and simply something i like thinking about myself. then i realize that being aware of that fact counter-acts itself, and i am stuck in an endless paradox of myself. i have not yet learned how to stop and just say "it doesn't matter"]-unknown
I play bass. My bass is a Cort Curbow Retro 4. I'm not in a band, but I play music with my friends every now and then. We'd like to start one, but we're all afraid of singing for some reason.
I love video games.
I'll be attending classes this fall.
I'm pretty much shy in person. I can't help it. I hate it. Or at least if I don't know you. If I know you well enough, I'm pretty laid back. I can get along with a lot of people.
I watch the news everyday.
I have this.. call it a complex. thats what nay sayers call it. that there is a bigger picture were not seeing. money makes power. and power does what it wants. just because they want us to think things are ok doesnt mean that things really are ok. because they arent. they want to control us. they want us contained.
I have this unsettling attraction to Photoshop and anything having to do with Photoshop. Needless to say, I make shit all the time. If any of you are interested in seeing the crap that pours out of my head, go here.<
This is pretty much just a collection of things I like and don't like. If I've posted your picture on here, it's for a reason. If the fact that I've posted it here angers you, then well... suck it because I'm leaving it.
Lol.......i do remember those guys....i never knew they said they grew peyote in their backyard though.....thats hilarious.....maybe you should contact them....they might be the coolest people you have ever met you know.....
Ill buy one tomorow and tell you what I think. I would have gotten it today, but I spent my cash on a flipper album. Im a big Zeppelin fan, I got all thier albums. I bought Physical Graffiti on vinyl last month, and it has so much punch in that format. Bonehams drumming is epic on that record.
I kinda forgot about tool. I was thinking more about Rush and dreamtheater and those weird prog bands from the early 80's (thought King Crimson is pretty cool). I think Tool was less about showing off, and actually wrote for an audience (instead of for their ego, as dreamtheater does). Im not a fan of tool really. I've never really listened to an entire tool album, but If you think its that great Ill get one and soak it in.
I stand by the "Less is More" statement.....I havent always felt that way, but nowadays I think subtle attitude goes alot further than a drum solo.
Yeah its pretty terrible. I think most people have just enough brain activity to parrot simple talking points handed down by their ministers, feel outrage or intense terror at fox news' whim and maintain the basic skills to survive a working class existence while unwittingly supporting rich bastards who care nothing for them.
Private school is the perfect place for these assholes, as they mostly learn creationist rhetoric, chuck norris jokes and that Communism is "The direct result of a lack of Christianity" That last bits from a bob jones text book I read my fresmen year. The horror....
However, being the last bashable minority really sucks. I have to hide what I think from my family, my workplace and most acquaintances. Christians love to believe they're so persecuted.....I wish theyd try being atheist for a day.
Christians love to rationalize their bullshit with more bullshit. The Bible is terrible, and if people would actually read it with any critical thinking skills they would see it's racist, war mongering, women hating, bullshit written by neanderthals -and then ammended by evil rich white totalitarians.
22 major religions on this earth and they can all suck my dick.
