About me:

I am 26 years old and living with my family in Gurgaon, India. Presently working with MIH India as Manager, User Experience. My role at MIH is to define and design user interface & user experience for various internet applications owned and developed by MIH, and to use the cost-effective and accessible use of Web Standards methodologies (structured XHTML, CSS, and ECMA Script) and manage the production of UI activities at different stages of the project life cycle.

Prior to joining MIH I have worked with Sapient Corp India, Gurgaon – One of the leading business innovations and consulting firms globally, DIREM Marketing Services (Delhi) – One of leading Direct Marketing agencies in India.

As the User Experience Lead, I have been involved in designing and defining the information, interfaces and experiences of various clients from different industries like, Energy, Travel, Entertainment and Government sector. I was responsible for everything from goal/task exploration through usability testing and final mark-up and CSS creation. I used direct all aspects of user experience, including the start of UCD processes, interaction design, information architecture, visual design, web accessibility and front-end development (XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript). My primary focus has been leading and teaching the cost-effective, and accessible use of Web Standards methodologies (structured XHTML, CSS, and ECMA Script) and managed the creation of CSS and mark-up, wire frames, site maps and graphic design & style guides.

I have also worked as User Interface development lead with large creative teams (up to 18 members). And I was leading Sapient’s User Experience team from India, a 30+ strong group of UI developers, Graphic Designers and Information Architects. My key responsibilities included co-ordination between people and leadership, hiring the right talent, giving right directions to staffing for user experience related project needs, mentoring UE team members and growing the team personally and technically.
