Happy Independence Day to all of my Myspace friends. Please forgive me for falling so far behind with my comments and messages. You are all very important to me.
Eddie and I have been on the road so much for the past two months that I sometimes wonder if I am putting things in my suitcase or taking it out! At times we have just lived out of them rather than unpack, because we knew that we were about to take off again. It has been a summer of connections and reconnections for us.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. Can't wait to hear of all of your summer adventures. It is scorching hot here and mostly we are just trying to stay cool. It is a great excuse to eat all of the ice cream you want, ice cold watermelon, slushies, etc. Yummy! Maybe the heat is not so bad, after all. Think I hear an extra large peach milkshake calling my name. Be blessed. Stay cool and let me hear of your summer fun soon!
Love and blessings,
Debbie T

We are back home after a fast and furious trip through most of the southeast. I think we racked up almost 2,000 on my Tahoe. It was a wonderful trip, but we are sooooo glad to be home and back to normal, whatever the heck that is.
We started out in Eddie's hometown of Atlanta,GA. for a multi-class high school reunion. They recently tore down Eddie's highschool, so the reunion was for classes "66-'88. Eddie graduated in '77. It was good to reunite with old friends that I have known over our the 29 years together, and also meeting some I have never met from his childhood, and hearing lots of stories of when Eddie was a little rascal. We really love Atlanta, and enjoy our visits, but are so glad we settled in Shreveport. Atlanta is just so HUGE! One of the hightlights of our trips was getting stranded on the 12th floor of the Hilton when the power went out for almost an hour. Thought we might miss our first night of the reunion, but we were rescued when the power came back on just in time. It was such a blast when so many folks just swore up and down that they knew me, and that they knew I was in their class. NOT!
After we left Atlanta, we headed back to Columbus , MS. for a long overdue visit with my Mom and Dad. Columbus is a sleepy little southern town where nothing ever changes, and everybody knows everybody AND their business . The crazy thing is that one of my classmates that I have not heard of since I graduated in '70 found me and sent me an email right before we left for Atlanta. She and a half dozen of my classmates who were in town for the weekend called me the night of Eddie's reunion, so we both had a reunion that night, in a way. Once home, my friend and I renewed our friendship that had lapsed almost 40 years a

This year is flying by so unbelievably fast! It seems like we were just celebrating Valentine's Day and whoosh! we are now knocking on summer's door. My garden is full of day lilies, roses, and the fragrance of my great grandmother's cape jasmine. I love this time before it gets so unbelievably hot & humid. Eddie and I love going out for dinner, then stopping by a Starbucks sharing some quality time talking together while sitting outside under moon and stars. Before long, we won't be able to do anything unless we are under the air conditioning, so we will enjoy it all while we can.
This is going to be a busy week for us. We leave on Thursday for Eddie's class reunion in Atlanta. We are going a day early just to have some time to ourselves, and to get together with some friends & family. Then we will stop in Mississippi for a short visit with my parents before heading back to Sheveport. I love to travel, but my favorite part of the trip is always coming home.
Hope God is doing some really awesome things in your life. I can't wait to hear about it.
Have a blessed week!
Debbie

I have been away from myspace for almost a week again. Thanks go to all my friends who have continued to post comments and send messages. I have got the greatest friends.
We had psalmist and minister David Byrd with us for almost a week. What a blessing that was! My husband and I got a private concert almost every night. David has been working with Ron Kenoly and Martha Minuzzi lately. If you have a minute, check out his myspace page (he is under my top friends) or go to www.davidbyrdministries.com. We can't wait to have him back again soon. He has the same kind on sense of humor as my husband, which is scary!
Hope everyone is enjoying the Spring. God is showing His handiwork everywhere I look. My yard is full of blooms, and all of the pollen that comes with it. It is just so beautiful. Thank goodness for zyrtec.
Thanks also to everyone who has been praying for the bilateral frozen shoulder syndrome that has plagued me since last Labor Day . Please keep praying. 8 weeks ago I was almost totally paralyzed in both arms. My doctor said last Monday that I was as close to a miracle as he had ever seen. I still have a very long way to go, but I am getting there. God is good.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Had a great time at the Women's Conference in Walker, LA. last weekend. Got to visit with old and dear friends. My Cajun gal pals are a blast! Imagine trying to play Scrabble at 2 am with a tray of 7 vowels. Not too much you can do with that! And as always we were so overwhelmed to be in the presence of the Lord. It is always a blessing to be there with these mighty women of God. As much fun as I had, I missed my myspace friends, and all of your comments and encouragements. Glad to be home. Wishing you all a beautiful and blessed week! Love, Debbie
