i never thought that i had any more to give, pushing me so far, here i am without you, a drink to all that we have lost, mistakes we have made, everything will change but love remains the same
Going to the theater, dancing, listening to music, sampling wines, reading, enjoying art, making art (when there's time and inspiration, learning new things, exercising, interpreting, going to interpreting conferences, and traveling. I love spending time with my friends, and my dogs. I love wine, especially all reds, (pinot noir, merlot, zins, and cabs) and if it's white it has to be savignon blanc, muscato, or a late harvest. I enjoy taking pictures and making photo albums/displaying photos. I'd like to get more into golf, I've only played a few times and I'm really awful but want to play more. I miss being involved in a book club. I'm interested in continuing my education, in strengthening my spirituality and in being unapologetically and unequivocally me.
You Belong in San Francisco
You crave an eclectic, urban environment. You're half California, half NYC.
You're open minded, tolerant, and secretly think you're the best.
People may dismiss you as a hippie, but you're also progressive, interesting, and rich!
For me music is about filling in the gaps to everyday life. I love almost all types of music. Something you can dance to, something you can rock out to, something you can cry to, something you can cook to, drink to, garden to, make love to, remember the past to, and sunbathe to... so yeah, pretty much everything! I really enjoy acoustic, authentic sounding stuff but there's a place in my heart for a little over-produced studio crap that sounds completely different in concert. I like a little techno, a lot of pop, and anything you can dance to. I like classical too, and instrumental. Generally I really enjoy movie soundtracks too. Anything by Sarah McLachlan, Dave Matthews Band, Train, Mat Kearney, and Barenaked Ladies, and more. I also love musical theater.

Heroes
Can I be my own hero without being smug? I only say that because I try to live my life the way I think one is suppose to do so - with tolerance, a bit of patience, a bit of aggression, drive, respect for others, respect for the black and white of decisions, respect for difficulty of making choices, without regret and with passion. People who live their lives as they want/need to without a care as to what others or society as a whole says - THAT is true power and strength to me.
About me:
-'Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?' - ..That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,' said the Cat. - ..I don't much care where--' said Alice. - ..Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.
I am the person who always returns her cart to the stand in the parking lot. I love to buy books, I enjoy cracking the spine of a fresh book, but I am always reading at least two, and hopefully finishing one. I like run-on sentences. I enjoy watching TV while listening to music and petting my dogs, and IMing with friends.
I'm left-handed, I love red wine, music, art, writing, cooking, or walking my dogs. I love gossip magazines. I love pink. I'm a total girlie girl and adore shopping, shoes, handbags, champagne and pedicures. I have a penchant for red things, nail polish, mail order catalogs and house plants. A perfect vacation for me would be sun, sand and surf - preferably an ocean.
I love dogs but specifically my basset hounds. There is no love like the love of a dog, and nothing that turns around a bad day like your pup resting his head on your feet.
I have a BA in Communications, Art History minor and an MA in Organizational Management. I'm a Sign Language Interpreter. My favorite interpreting is platform conference interpreting or interpreting music.
As much as I love being with friends, working with colleagues, deep conversation, or just hanging out, I definitely value my alone time too. I consider myself a democrat/liberal-ish, a feminist, a shopaholic and a believer of truth, rational thought and also being in touch emotionally, in fairness (at all levels of everything) and doing what is right for YOU (well, no, not you you, the generic you. The all of us, capisce???)
I'm usually getting it wrong, but its the getting there that gets you to the right, right?
Who I'd like to meet: People who share similar interests and thoughts. Lewis Black (for a good laugh), Sarah McLachlan or Colbie Caillat (for a good song) and Antonio Banderas (but there'd be little talking). People who are kind, equitable, passionate, thoughtful, happy and sane.
