The Sneak Attack Tigers formed in the late 1990's in their hometown of Greenock
on the West coast of Scotland.
Always having considered themselves more Sub-Pop than Brit-Pop, and having spent
their teens listening to AC/DC, Guns 'N' Roses, Pavement and The Lemonheads, what
resulted was a riff-heavy mix of crunching guitars, soaring melodies and razor-sharp
pop hooks.
TV, Radio and other Media
Perhaps the bands biggest showcase to date, is their inclusion on the soundtrack
to the latest installment of EA Sports best-selling FIFA franchise, FIFA 2005.
It includes the "The End of All Good" along with tracks from established acts such as Franz Ferdinand,
Morrissey, Air and The Scissor Sisters, amongst others. The band are the only
unsigned British act to be included on the soundtrack, and as such, find themselves
in a similar position to Franz Ferdinand, who were featured on Madden NFL whilst
still unsigned.
The Tigers have licensed songs to Nickolodeon, who used "This & nothing Else"
on the season premier of "Radio Free Roscoe", with further Sneaks tracks scheduled
for use in later shows.
The band have recorded sessions for both BBC Radio 1’s "Session in Scotland" and
BBC Radio Scotland’s "Air" show, and were short-listed for "Session of the Year" on the "Session in Scotland". They have also had a variety of tracks played on the aforementioned BBC shows, as well as Beat 106, Moray Firth, Sub City Radio and other
radio stations throughout the UK.
The band performed live on
an edition of "Nu Music", a show fronted by Mani (The Stone Roses. Primal Scream),
which airs on the satellite channel "Play UK".
Recordings
The band are currently in the studio finishing their debut album. The album is tentatively scheduled for Summer 2006
release.
Live Performances
The Tigers have earned a reputation as an incendiary live act, and have supported Snow Patrol, The Cosmic
Rough Riders, King Adora and Eugene Kelly amongst others.
Quotes
"The riff-finder generals of post 1980's metal…..They rock like AC/DC in an avalanche".
- Paul Whitelaw, The Metro
"Tracks like "The End of All Good" crackle with energy but also contain a melodic
and instrumental inventiveness that is a testament to the bands writing ability.
The Datsuns would kill for songs like this". - Catriona Killin, The Daily Record

Hi
(sorry I know we don't know each other well. Hope this is OK...)
McDonalds are advertising on myspace. This is disappointing. See my blog for the rant.
TOM'S ADDRESS IS: http://www.myspace.com/tom
Please feel free to contact him and tell him that you're not impressed by his choice of client. (Please also use the word 'wean'. Use it or lose it.)
[IMPORTANT- CHOOSE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE BIT WHEN IT COMES UP IN MESSAGING TOM, SUBJECT 'OTHER', AND 'ISSUE IS NOT IN LIST'. IT MIGHT BE EFFECTIVE IF WE ALL DO IT.]
Have a nice day.
Mine reads:
Dear Sir/Madam
I am disappointed that you have allowed McDonalds to advertise on myspace. McDonalds is an unambitious corporation whose wealth and influence in society is not matched by any social conscience or aspiration.
Specifically:
McDonalds is a bad employer that pays low wages and doesn't invest in its staff.
McDonalds advertises to kids, and puts pressure on parents to turn their weans into McChildren.
McDonalds uses poor quality foods, transported over thousands of miles, rather than real ingredients. They take cooking out of kitchens and into factories.
Please stop doing business with socially irresponsible corporations, particularly those who promote poor health and bad lifestyle choices in their customers and staff.
