Saturday Night Jazz Orchestra is a big band in the traditional 17pieces format, based in Hong Kong since 1990. Members are mixture of international variety, and all are devoted to true Big Band jazz style. The band also receives support of Hong Kong Japanese Club.
Activities:
Performing every last Saturday Night of each month at the Fringe Club, in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong area in Central-Hong Kong.
Invited for Macau Jazz Festival 3 times, Performed at HK Embassy's Ball.
Members often join back up band for visiting artists like MICHEL LEGRAND or TEMPTATIONS.
Also performed for United Airlines launching show, Hugo Boss's Fashion show, Cathay Pacific's ball,
In 2007, Fringe Club sent our band to Singapore to perform for the event "Hong Kong in Singapore" for cultural exchange with it's Singaporean counterpart.
Another event in this year was Saturday Night Jazz Orchestra show at Alexander-Platz in Rome.
