Hello,
The International Somewhat North of Boston Film Festival www.snobfilmfestival.org playfully called (SNOB) is located in Concord, New Hampshire. We're proud to note that we're in our 6th year of existence and look forward to our event which takes place on November 9th-11th of 2007.
Our festival has a very broad spectrum of films that it accepts, and we mix it with a few first run independent features. We invite people to look of our archives to see the types of films we accept. Generally, we look for films with a good story or that are clever in some way.
Animation and short films do well, we believe that's because we use the block method so audience members get to see several films for one price. Documentaries also do well, particularly if they have a political edge.

Velvet Curtain Cult shall inhabit and haunt the Benjamin Franklin House
with site specific art, performance, film, oddities and happenings from
13 artists. Set in a Georgian house where layers of history unravel
from behind panelled walls and deep-set fireplaces whisper ashes of
deeds past, the artists will engage with and draw inspiration from the
history of the space, including its most famous inhabitant Benjamin
Franklin, he of keys and kites….
Expect spinning tops, glass
armonicas, trepanning games, story telling, ceremonial mythologies,
muffled whisperings, cyclical wanderings, all serenaded by the sound of
a haunting electric cello…

CALL FOR ENTRIES Students of high school, university or its equivalent in any area of knowledge: you are invited to participate in the Sixth Short Film Contest "Corto Creativo UDC'09" which shall be screened at local cinemas (part of an international movie theater chain) in Tijuana, Baja CALIFORNIA, MEXICO 28, 29 and May 30 2009, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 PM
Filmmakers and video professionals who want to showcase their short films, can send their submissions, but will not participate in the contest.
The pre-selection of material will take into consideration only the shorts that, in addition to exhibiting a clear narrative situation, have been produced after December 31st . 2006.
