SNUFFLIX was the fifth wheel of Toxin III, an invention necessitated by the need of a backup band to play Lafayette, LA, as there were no other punk bands in town at the time.
Basically, Chachi and I joined with Weez to create a 'louder, faster' entity, that could blow the doors off Toxin III. Although, not in direct competition to Toxin III, Chachi and I had become discouraged by Toxin's internal-political structure and wanted to "Kick Out The Jams!"
This change allowed me to just play guitar, with exception of "Shut Up & Gimme", which is the only song I wrote and sang on. The rest of the songs were written by Weez and reflected his misanthropic view of the US economy at the time, as he was "Unemployed and Paranoid". Weez was a strange character, a person that was diametrically opposed to himself, a self proclaimed geek and manic depressive. SNUFFLIX allowed Weez to vent his anger, to purge his depression, with aggression.
However, SNUFFLIX was a short lived project, as Weez found the lord, became repentant to christ and bailed rapidly from the scene. Leaving only a five song legacy behind, two songs of which were selected for the Bad Compilation Tape's No. 11, Brain Of Stone Compilation 1984, "Scenic View" and "Shut Up & Gimme" as veritable proof of SNUFFLIX's existance.
