Snug Harbor is a funk-soul-fusion septet, tucked away in the corner of the Northwest, in the city of Bellingham, WA. Their ages range from 21-36, but their passion for music is exercised and recognized at every live performance. This amalgamation consists of a diverse array of members ranging from Japan, New York and Maine, to North Dakota and Washington. In 2008, the band set out to increase the awareness toward positive, fun, original and danceable grooves along side a community of brilliant musicians with similar intensions.
Fans of Snug Harbor can expect to see and hear musicianship as it relates to funk, jazz, soul and reggae music. Horns, polyrhythms, electric synthesizers, special effects, smooth vocals, crowd participation, and high-energy enthusiasm make up a typical live performance. Snug Harbor released their debut album, “Sounds From the York”, September 22, 2009. It was recorded live in-studio and engineered by Chris Vita. “Sounds From the York” can be found on iTunes, Amazon, CDbaby, and many other media outlets.
