Sons of Anarchy is an adrenalized, darkly humorous drama exploring a notorious outlaw motorcycle club’s intent on protecting their simple, sheltered town of Charming, Calif. from advancing drug dealers and local corporate developers. It is also a family saga seen through the eyes of Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) whose love for the brotherhood comes into direct conflict with his growing apprehension regarding the club's lawlessness. Katey Sagal stars as his force-of-nature mother who, along with the club's president, Jax's stepfather, has her own ideas about the direction of the Sons of Anarchy. CHARLIE HUNNAM was last seen on the big screen in Alfonso Cuarón’s acclaimed Children of Men. His television credits include a co-starring role in FOX’s comedy Undeclared, and a recurring role in Showtime’s Queer as Folk. Other feature film credits include Nicholas Nickleby and Cold Mountain.
KATEY SAGAL is best known as “Peggy Bundy” from the hit FOX sitcom Married…with Children. She also starred in 8 Simple Rules, and had recurring roles on Boston Legal, The Shield, Imagine That and That 70’s Show.

Ron Perlman will play the club's president and stepfather of the central character, Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam). The role, played by Scott Glenn in the pilot, has been recast after the character was re-imagined as part of the project's shift in a more darkly comedic direction.

Music
The Sound Music for the show plays a crucial part in depicting the world of Samcro as well as the simplicity of life in a town like Charming. It must reflect both the authentic rebelliousness and freedom of the club lifestyle but also have playful Americana undertones.
The man responsible for capturing this is acclaimed producer/songwriter/musician Bob Thiele Jr., whose major task as theme song composer and co-music supervisor is to make the music as authentic as possible. He does this by drawing from a specific musical palette, using a great deal of guitar and accordion, keeping it simple as anything too orchestral or overly computer generated becomes distracting and can hinder instead of adding to the characters and their stories. This very notion is best captured in the show’s theme song “This Life.”
For the song, Bob teamed up with guitarist/songwriter/and all around badass Dave Kushner of the band Velvet Revolver, as well as famed musician Curtis Stigers (who sings it.) The three are in works to lay down a full recording of the song to be available soon.

this is by far the best show on t.v. havent missed an episode. cant believe the way the season ended. iam glad to hear it got picked up for a 3rd season. now comes the hard part of waiting 9 months for season 3
