   About Soapbox Symphony

As promised here is a little update of what the individual members of Soapbox Symphony are up to with their musical endeavors. To find out more information you can always check out our top friends below.

Nathan Emmans and Kyle Booterbaugh have continued playing music together under the name The Art of Whimsy. They are currently in the middle of recording their first album together and have a few samples of pre-production up as well as a few live videos. They are also in the middle of a short Holiday Tour, taking a break from recording, spending time with family, and of course taking part in live performances.

David Alan Kurtz has continued to write new music. With help of great musical minds such as Joe Rayhbuck, Jay Madore, and Matt Hall, David has had the chance to re-record some of his older songs and approach them with a new feel that only time can bring. Check out his music, you will not be disappointed.

Along with long time friend Jay Madore, Matt Hall and Joe Rayhbuck started Clockwork Studio. "[They strive] to provide a complete studio including quality musicianship." Because of this Matt and Joe have afforded themselves with numerous opportunities to record with a various number of artists. Going to Matt Hall's Music Page you will find several examples of the music he has been a part of.

On top of starting Clockwork Studio with Matt and Jay, Joe Rayhbuck has also started Baby Buck Productions. Though the company may be young, it has already been a part of several musical projects. Going to this myspace you will find several examples of the music that Baby Buck Productions has been involved with.

Soapbox Symphony is an organic mix of acoustic and folk rock deriving its melodies from the nature of Northern California to the exotic rhythms of Africa. Members Nathan Emmans (vocals, guitar) and Kyle Booterbaugh (mandolin, percussion) grew up together in the small Northern California towns of Cool and Pilot Hill. Drummer Joe Rayhbuck grew up in Central Africa until coming to California with his family in 1996. Bassist Matt Hall is a native of the Napa Valley growing up in the small town of American Canyon. Keyboardist David Kurtz grew up in Bakersfield, CA and Wheaton, IL.
